Bluebird IT specialises exclusively in healthcare IT. We support GP practices, aged care facilities, NDIS organisations and private hospitals. That means every member of our team understands the clinical software you use, the compliance obligations you face, and the consequences of IT downtime in a care environment. You won’t spend time explaining what Best Practice is, or why Medicare Online connectivity matters. We already know.
We are based in Mandurah, Western Australia, and support healthcare organisations right across the state — from metropolitan Perth to regional and rural WA. Most support is delivered remotely, meaning we can resolve issues quickly regardless of your location. For complex issues requiring an onsite visit, we can arrange onsite support for our clients.
Stuart has over 20 years of dedicated healthcare IT experience. We were founded in 2021 specifically to serve the healthcare sector, and healthcare remains our sole focus today. We have supported GP practices, aged care facilities, NDIS organisations and private hospitals across Western Australia.
Not at all. We work with healthcare organisations of all sizes — from single-GP practices to multi-site facilities and private hospitals. Our fixed-price managed service agreements are designed to be scalable, so you pay for the level of support that matches your organisation’s size and needs.
We operate on fixed-price managed service agreements — you pay a predictable monthly fee based on the size and complexity of your IT environment. There are no surprise invoices, no per-call charges, and no bill shock when something goes wrong. Fixed pricing means you can budget with confidence and call us as often as you need without worrying about the cost.
Every managed service agreement includes proactive monitoring and maintenance of your IT systems, helpdesk support during business hours, remote support for day-to-day issues, security monitoring, and regular system health checks. The specific inclusions are tailored to your organisation — we’ll walk you through exactly what’s covered during your initial consultation.
We’ll discuss contract terms during your consultation. Our goal is to build long-term partnerships with healthcare organisations, not lock clients into arrangements that don’t work for them. We’re happy to answer any questions about contract terms before you commit.
Typically under 5 minutes during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm). In a healthcare environment, we understand that IT issues can directly impact patient care and clinical operations — so we treat every support request with urgency. You won’t be waiting hours for a callback.
You can reach us by phone on (08) 9548 3077, by email, or through our remote support tool. All managed service clients have access to our helpdesk during business hours. For after-hours emergencies, we’ll discuss arrangements as part of your service agreement.
Yes — Best Practice is one of our core specialisations. We support Best Practice across installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and integration with third-party systems including Medicare Online, My Health Record, ePrescribing, pathology and radiology. We are familiar with both Best Practice and PracSoft, and we understand how critical this software is to the daily operations of a GP practice.
Yes — Medical Director is another of our core specialisations. We support Medical Director across installation, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting, including integrations with Medicare Online, My Health Record and third-party clinical tools. We understand the nuances of Medical Director and can support practices running both older and current versions of the software.
We support Leecare, Clinical Manager (formerly iCareHealth), e-Tools and Care Systems — four of the most widely used care management platforms in the WA aged care sector. We provide support across installation, configuration, maintenance and integration with your broader IT infrastructure.
We support MYP, ShiftCare and CareMaster — participant management and rostering platforms used by NDIS providers across WA. We understand the operational demands of NDIS service delivery and can support your team across both office and mobile environments.
We support FYDO, Civica DOX and RiskClear — hospital management, document and risk platforms used by private hospitals across WA. We understand the complexity of hospital IT environments and the critical nature of uptime in a hospital setting.
We implement layered, healthcare-grade cybersecurity using industry-leading tools. This includes endpoint protection across all devices, real-time threat monitoring and response, secure email filtering, firewall management, and regular security assessments. Patient data security is not an afterthought for us — it is a core part of every service agreement.
Yes. We understand the Australian Privacy Act and its specific implications for healthcare organisations, including the requirements around health information under APP 3, APP 6 and APP 11. We help clients implement the technical safeguards required to protect personal and health information, and we can advise on data handling practices from an IT perspective. For legal advice on privacy obligations, we recommend engaging a privacy lawyer or your peak body.
Yes. The RACGP Standards for general practices include specific requirements around information management, data security and system integrity. We are familiar with these requirements and can help your practice implement and document the IT controls needed to meet RACGP accreditation standards.
If a cybersecurity incident occurs, we respond immediately. Our monitoring tools are designed to detect threats early — often before they cause significant damage. In the event of an incident, we contain it, assess the impact, restore systems from secure backups, and help you understand what happened and how to prevent recurrence. We also help you understand your notification obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
The first step is a free consultation — book online using the button below or call us on (08) 9548 3077. During the consultation we’ll learn about your organisation, your current IT setup, and what’s not working. From there we’ll recommend the right level of support and provide a fixed-price proposal. There’s no obligation and no pressure.

No — we operate on fixed-price managed service agreements regardless of your location in WA. Remote and regional healthcare organisations pay the same predictable monthly fee as metropolitan clients and receive the same level of service. There are no travel surcharges or distance premiums.
We provide both. The majority of issues are resolved quickly via remote support — which means faster resolution times and less disruption to your team regardless of where in WA you’re located. When an issue genuinely requires an onsite visit, we can arrange that for clients in the Perth metropolitan area, Rockingham, Mandurah and the Peel region. For regional and remote clients, our build-and-ship model handles hardware needs without requiring an onsite visit, and we’ll discuss the best approach for complex onsite requirements during your initial consultation.
