Allied Health IT Support in Rockingham

We support the systems allied health practices depend on — including Cliniko, Splose and Penelope — keeping the infrastructure, security and connectivity behind them reliable.

The Rockingham corridor is one of the fastest-growing parts of the state, and allied health practices here tend to be growing at the same rate. That creates a very particular kind of IT problem: setups that were entirely reasonable two years ago and are now quietly failing under three times the load.

Baldivis, Secret Harbour, Golden Bay and Kwinana have a young family demographic, and the allied health mix reflects it. Paediatric services — speech pathology, occupational therapy, paediatric physiotherapy and psychology — carry the bulk of demand, often with long waitlists and high appointment volumes.

Paediatric practices put unusual pressure on systems. Appointment volume is high and sessions are short, so scheduling load is constant. A significant share of delivery happens in schools, homes and community settings rather than the clinic. Much of it is NDIS-funded, which brings reporting requirements and information management obligations attached to registration.

The practices we meet here have usually grown from two clinicians to eight or ten in a couple of years, still running the network equipment and file arrangements they started with.

The three things we fix most often in the corridor

Consumer equipment carrying a commercial load

The router that came with the internet connection was fine for two clinicians. With nine people running telehealth, cloud practice management and a claiming terminal at once, it drops connections — and the software gets blamed for a network problem.

Everything living on one computer

A practice where client files sit on the front desk machine is one hardware failure away from a very bad month. This is the single most common serious risk we find in fast-growing practices, and it is inexpensive to fix.

School and community access improvised per clinician

Therapists working offsite tend to invent their own workarounds — personal email, USB drives, phone photos of notes. Each one is a privacy exposure. Giving them a proper method removes the incentive.

Close by, and healthcare only

We are based in Mandurah, so the southern corridor is close. We support practices across Rockingham, Baldivis, Kwinana, Secret Harbour, Warnbro, Port Kennedy and Golden Bay as part of our allied health IT support across Western Australia.

Our typical response time is under 5 minutes during business hours. We work exclusively with healthcare organisations, so the person answering understands why a system outage at 9am on a Tuesday is not something that can wait until the afternoon.

Frequently asked questions

We have grown from two clinicians to nine in two years. What breaks first?

Usually the network and the file storage, in that order. A consumer-grade router that coped with two clinicians will drop connections once nine people are running video calls, cloud practice management and claiming terminals simultaneously. Files that lived on one computer become a bottleneck and a serious risk the first time that machine fails. Both are fixable, and both are much cheaper to fix before the failure than after.

Yes. School networks are locked down and are not designed for external clinicians, so relying on them is a losing game. We set up secure access over mobile data with device-level protection, so a speech pathologist or OT can complete notes between sessions without needing anything from the school’s IT.
